James “Jack” Abbott, MD, FAAD, was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended college at Colorado State University, where he studied Biomedical Sciences. He received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2017, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Honor Society. While in medical school, he pursued a post-junior student pathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Jack completed his internship in medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital (the nation’s first hospital) and dermatology residency at the University of Utah. He furthered his training through a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Pennsylvania. Jack enjoys spending time mountain biking, trail running, and cooking with his significant other Larissa and their two dogs, Bronco and Caballito.
Dr. Abbott has numerous interests including general dermatology, dermatopathology, cutaneous oncology, medical education, and cosmetic dermatology. He is an accomplished author and has written numerous manuscripts throughout medical literature.
